It wasn't that Peter wanted to leave Scott behind, by any means, but he'd rushed back in there and the Alpha twins--who'd flipped sides just like he'd said they would--were right behind them and Cora had already stopped breathing once. So, he snarled at Isaac who could see the twins behind them and knew, if nothing else, he had a duty to his pack--of which Peter and Cora were a major part.
He floored it.
The epinephrine had burned off a little too fast, which had been embarrassing, but the adrenaline was still pumping--possibly the only thing keeping him upright, honestly. That and needing to take care of his pack...Cora hadn't regained consciousness, and he could only hope someone had found Derek.
Isaac didn't know where Scott was, didn't know if he'd gotten out, and he was shaking, but he got them back to the loft safely. Sure, the pack knew where it was, but they knew where all of them lived and where else were they going to go? Better somewhere they could sort of defend. They didn't have Ms. Blake, anyway, so why would they come after them?
When they got to the loft, Peter got Cora out of the car, lifting her with a pained wince, but when Isaac tried to take her, he snarled at the boy until he ran ahead, getting doors instead, letting them all into the loft and skidding to a bit of a halt at finding Lydia and Hayley sitting there.
Peter noticed the girls, but didn't process, moving across to get Cora on the table, somewhere they could work on her more easily than the sofa. After he got her there, he just leaned against it, head hanging down, breathing a little too hard.

"No one will buy an animal attack though." Not with how her heart had been ripped out.
"He should get to the hospital." Melissa nodded to the Sheriff but he merely shook his head, waving off their concern.
"I'm fine, just a bit stiff." He muttered as Stiles and Allison helped him up the stairs. They paused at the sight of the three men talking around the dead body. A sight that made him frown, open his mouth and then close it as he shook his head. "Get me away from here before I have to do something about that." He muttered, letting Stiles steer him away and back towards the cars.
Melissa didn't look either as she let them get her back to the cars as well.

Klaus gave Derek a slightly savage smile. "Don't worry about it--we're good with this. Elijah and I will take care of it and meet you back at the loft."
Because, seriously--Elijah's heart ripping out fetish kind of made this kind of thing fairly common.
Isaac glanced over a them, gave the sheriff a slightly rueful smile and wanted to say something about welcome to knowing about all the stuff that was going on, but he bit it back and just helped Melissa back to Chris's car, which was closest.
Chris glanced at them and nodded a little. "Stiles and I will get them ... either home or back to the loft...?" He wasn't sure if they should all meet back up or not.
"I'll call Scott," Isaac said, without thinking that, well, maybe Stiles or Allison would do that. But--Stiles had his dad to check on and....yeah. He kind of didn't think about Allison might want to call him.
no subject
"Take me home." Melissa told them all before looking at Stiles. "You two can come over. I have a kit at home." And she was sure that the Sheriff should get looked at.
Allison glanced over at Isaac but she nodded. "Call him. He needs to know we have them."
no subject
"Far, far away," Elijah murmured, hoisting her before they both blurred off.
Chris nodded. "Home it is." He glanced at Allison. "You follow us?"
Isaac pulled his phone out, pacing off a little bit and calling Scott.
no subject
Scott picked up on the third ring. "Isaac?"
no subject
Chris gave her a bit of a nod, uncomfortable, but figuring she was probably safe enough for the moment. Jennifer was dead, after all. "All right. We'll see you back at the McCall's, then."
Isaac wasn't much paying attention to them, just praying Scott would pick up. His relief when he did made him a little breathless, rushed, maybe a little vulnerable and trying really hard not to sound like he was pleading. Because what if Scott wanted to be with them, after all? He didn't think so, but nothing else had gone right in months. "Hey. We got them. Your mom and the sheriff. They're safe. Mr. Argent's taking them back to your place now, and the vampires killed Ms. Blake so...you don't have to do this, Scott. You can come home..."
no subject
"Wait, what?" Scott almost sounded like he couldn't believe it, turning away from the others who stood nearby. "How...how did you find them?"
no subject
"Mr. Argent and Allison and Stiles thought about this old tree with druid power or something. They thought she might be keeping them there and she was. They're okay. A little stiff from being tied up, but they're not seriously hurt or anything..."
no subject
Scott felt almost dizzy with relief, taking a couple steps sideways to brace himself against a tree as he let out a sigh. "I...thank god." It was hard to believe it was over though he did have to wonder what it would mean for the Alpha pack now. "Where are you? Tell me how to find you."
no subject
"Um...out on the preserve." Isaac sketched out what he remembered of directions. "Mr. Argent took your mom home, so I was going to head there..."
no subject
"I'm fine." The Sheriff nodded. "Really, I don't need to be looked at."
"Dad..." Stiles protested. "She stabbed you."
"Just wait, I'm nearby." Scott looked around, trying to find his bearings. "I'll come to you." He repeated. "Just wait for me."
Then he hung up the phone.
no subject
"Okay," Isaac said, willing to wait pretty much forever for Scott.
He hung up, looking at his phone for a moment, until he realized Allison was still there. He turned, giving her a confused look. "...You didn't go back with your dad?"
no subject
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay and that you got ahold of Scott." Allison replied, tilting her head to the side. "Is he going to meet us at his place? Can he get away from the Alpha pack?"
no subject
Isaac frowned a little at the making sure he was okay and tried to not shift too much. "Um, he said he was close to here, so I--we--should wait..."
Except he hadn't mentioned Allison was still here, hadn't realized it, honestly, too wrapped up in relief at hearing Scott's voice.
no subject
Allison wondered at the tension and the frown on his face but maybe it was to be expected. It wasn't like he had a reason to trust or like her.
"I'll...go back over here." She hid whatever she was feeling by turning away to head back or so it seemed.
Isaac would sense Scott a moment later and it wasn't long before the boy was breaking into the clearing running on all four. Straightening then, he jogged towards Isaac, looking relieved. "Isaac." He knew the other boy was most likely concerned and upset with him for going with Deucalion and, honestly, he felt guilty but he had thought it was the right thing to do.
no subject
Isaac watched her slip away, uncertain and a little guilty, and he was pretty sure Scott still loved her and that made him all sorts of...not knowing how to act around her. Like maybe he was just...keeping Scott company until he went back to her, or she decided she wanted him back, and Isaac would...let him go, do whatever he had to so Scott would be happy, but it made him uneasy.
Sensing Scott, though, his relief brushed away the rest of the way and he spun toward him, face lighting up in a smile that could have lit up a room, sheer relief and joy and need flickering over his face. "Scott!"
no subject
Seeing the relief and joy on Isaac's face made Scott feel a bit better as he hurried towards him, not even thinking for a moment that someone could be around or see them reuniting. Right now he was just too happy to know that his mother and the Sheriff were safe. That Isaac and all of them were safe.
Reaching out to curl a hand around the back of Isaac's neck when he got close enough, he tugged him close so he could lean in and kiss him.
no subject
"Of course." Chris moved over to where Stiles had sat his father down and gave him a bit of a smile. "Let me help with that."
"Not a hunter, huh?" The sheriff asked dryly, giving him a wry look.
Chris shrugged and gave him a wry smile in return. "Welcome to the party."
Isaac was well aware of Allison, still, but the touch of Scott's lips dazed him a little bit, and he had to try not to cry in relief and happiness he was there and okay. Besides, that hold on his neck, Scott pulling him in...he wasn't going to resist. His Alpha, something inside him said, even if he still felt a tie to Derek.
He kissed him back, fingers curling in Scott's shirt, holding tight for a moment, before remembering. He pulled back, but just enough to part their lips, not willing to break Scott's hold on him for anything. "Scott..."
no subject
Scott was instantly dizzy with relief and the growing familiarity between them. The way his blood hummed whenever he was near Isaac these days.
Pulling back slightly, he started to smile, to ask what was going on, but then something pulled his gaze away and he froze. "Allison..." He felt like he had been punched in the gut then as he stared across the clearing at the girl who was staring right back.
And if he felt like he had been punched in the stomach, Allison would swear she felt worse. It was like being stabbed in the center of the chest and the entire world ripped out from under her. She felt breathless and sick as she watched them, still stunned by the fact that she had seen them kissing. Scott and Isaac...kissing.
Taking a stumbling step backwards, she shook her head when Scott called out her name again and then she was running back to her car with the urge to escape. Anything to get away from what she had seen.
Scott knew he should have gone after her as he yelled out her name for a third time but he felt frozen in place. Turning his head, he looked at Isaac then, opening his mouth and then closing it as he didn't know what to say.
no subject
"It's fine," Chris assured both her and the sheriff. "It's not like it's my secret, and with Stiles involved and his job, he should know." Chris glanced back at the man. "We're just used to not letting this get out to many people--it puts innocent people in danger more than it helps, usually."
Like Scott. Isaac. Boys who hadn't done anything, but if the general public knew werewolves walked among them, the boys would be targets. "I try to leave it to them to tell who they feel they can."
Isaac closed his eyes when Scott saw Allison. She'd walked away--he'd hoped far enough that she wouldn't see the kiss. Apparently not. When he opened his eyes and saw Scott's face, he immediately apologized. "I'm sorry...she stayed..I didn't know when we are on the phone...I was going to tell you..." But there was kissing and he looked as stricken as Scott. "I'm sorry." He stepped back a little shaking his head. "You should go Catch her..."
no subject
Scott stood there, watching as Allison reached her car and got in. It felt like a defining moment for him then. It was either chase after his ex-girlfriend, a girl he did still have some feelings for, or stay with the boy that had captured his interest while stirring something entirely new in him. Something he did in fact want to explore.
Looking over as Isaac apologized, he shook his head as he reached to catch his hand. "No." Catching Isaac's gaze, he made his next words firm so they would both believe them. "We're not doing anything wrong. I told you I wanted this." Whatever was happening between them. "And I do. I'll talk to Allison about it later."
"But right now, let's go home."
no subject
Chris moved out of her way, letting her do her work, glancing at Stiles when he turned away, but focused back on her and how she was just...taking care of someone else when she'd had just as bad of a night.
Isaac looked startled when Scott reached for him, but his fingers clung to Scott's tightly as he told him he wasn't going after Allison. The startlement grew, but settled into something a little calmer, if awed.
"Ok. I know your mom really wants to see you..."
no subject
"Thank you, Melissa." The Sheriff was paler than before but looked steady as he leaned back against the cushions and closed his eyes. Glancing over at Chris, she gave him a quiet look as she slipped past and moved to the stairs to head to the upstairs bathroom.
Scott still felt guilty about Allison being upset but he pushed it down with a nod. "Let's go." He needed to see his mother to make sure she was actually okay. Letting go of Isaac's hand, he started to run then, knowing the other boy would be right behind him as they headed home.
no subject
Chris smiled back at her and nodded, then pulled out his phone, frowning a little. Allison and Isaac should have been here by now, surely? "I'm going to check on the kids," he told the sheriff as, concerned, he dialed his daughter.
Isaac took off after Scott, keeping up and happy to run, like they could outrun the discomfort.
