It wasn't that Peter wanted to leave Scott behind, by any means, but he'd rushed back in there and the Alpha twins--who'd flipped sides just like he'd said they would--were right behind them and Cora had already stopped breathing once. So, he snarled at Isaac who could see the twins behind them and knew, if nothing else, he had a duty to his pack--of which Peter and Cora were a major part.
He floored it.
The epinephrine had burned off a little too fast, which had been embarrassing, but the adrenaline was still pumping--possibly the only thing keeping him upright, honestly. That and needing to take care of his pack...Cora hadn't regained consciousness, and he could only hope someone had found Derek.
Isaac didn't know where Scott was, didn't know if he'd gotten out, and he was shaking, but he got them back to the loft safely. Sure, the pack knew where it was, but they knew where all of them lived and where else were they going to go? Better somewhere they could sort of defend. They didn't have Ms. Blake, anyway, so why would they come after them?
When they got to the loft, Peter got Cora out of the car, lifting her with a pained wince, but when Isaac tried to take her, he snarled at the boy until he ran ahead, getting doors instead, letting them all into the loft and skidding to a bit of a halt at finding Lydia and Hayley sitting there.
Peter noticed the girls, but didn't process, moving across to get Cora on the table, somewhere they could work on her more easily than the sofa. After he got her there, he just leaned against it, head hanging down, breathing a little too hard.

"We should clean up and get into bed."

Isaac just leaned back in Scott's arms as they caught their breath, then nodded, laughing a little weakly. "We should, yeah. I'm not sure my knees are gonna hold out much longer, anyway..."

Once he was dry, he paused long enough to pull on some boxers and then he was getting into bed. He shifted over and then patted the bed beside him once he was comfortable. "Come on, sleep in here tonight."

Isaac smiled at him as he got dried off, then moved to the bedroom, a slightly wry smile tugging his lips. "I didn't think to get clean boxers out of my room..."

Whatever he was going to do was too late though as the dire swung open. "Scott, honey, have....OHMIGOD!" Melissa let out a screech as she walked into the scene of Scott half kneeling in his bed clad only in boxers with Isaac standing there completely naked.
Startled, she rushed out.

"This is going to look so bad. So bad." She had a hand against her forehead as she walked back and forth. "What are people going to think?"
His stomach started to sink. "Mom..."
"Downstairs, now!" She pointed a finger at the stairs before calling out. "You too, Isaac! Downstairs and put some clothes on!" She muttered as she stalked past, purposefully putting a hand up to shield her face as she walked by the door and downstairs.

Turning, she looked at the boys and motioned for them to sit, giving them both a stern look. Or as stern as she could manage.
"When you two asked if Isaac could stay with us, you should have told me there was something going on between you two."
"Wait...what? No! Nothing was going on then..."
"And I know that things could be very exciting in the beginning but you two have to realize this looks bad." She rubbed her hands over her face as she moved to sit on the edge of the coffee table. "I'm responsible for Isaac now and people are going to have something to say about me letting my son's boyfriend move in. Especially if you're sharing a bed."
"Wait..." Scott started to blink.
"Because I'm pretty sure there's a rule in the parent handbook somewhere that I shouldn't be letting you two share a bed." She rushed on to say.

What she was saying was...not what he expected, really, because there was no freaking out that they were involved, but still there was something in there about them not sharing a bed, and Isaac not living there, or that's how he heard it, and he almost couldn't breathe, tears trying to gather and fall, and wasn't that just the most badass thing ever?
He swallowed, hoping his voice came out steady. It didn't. "D-do you want me to go?" Because he didn't know where he could, but maybe Hayley would let him sleep on her couch. Or Peter. ...God, he just put Peter on a list of people to maybe go crash with, which really was saying he didn't have anyone, wasn't it?

Scott had already grabbed his hand as though to anchor him there, glancing at him mom. "So...you're not mad that we're..." He motioned between himself and Isaac, still looking confused.
Which made Melissa look rather confused as well. "No!" She blinked at them both. "You two, I don't care about that. I'm just....you two were..." She didn't even know how to put it and she groaned as she dropped her face into her hands again. "I don't even know what to say. It's not like you two can get each other pregnant but...does it make me a bad mom to say you two can share a bed when I wouldn't allow you to do it with someone else?"

"I..can stay in my room," he said hesitantly, unable to believe it could be that easy--even if it wouldn't be easy, really, as much as he, well, was seventeen and wanted sex and and to be close to Scott--but he'd do anything to get to stay here and still be near Scott. "It was just...an upsetting night for...everyone."

Squashing that temporary feeling, she sighed as she looked up at them again. "Just...when did this start?"
no subject
He glanced back at Scott again for confirmation.

"Well..." What could she say? Really? "I don't know, guys. I should tell you that you can't sneak around but I remember what it was like at that age." Another sigh. "Just..."
"We'll be careful, Mom, okay?" Scott offered.
"And no wandering around naked, okay?" Melissa replied, looking at Isaac. "There are just some things I don't need to see."

Isaac turned bright red and wanted to sink into the couch again. He still had some residual trembling going on and a death grip on Scott's hand, but he didn't feel like he was about to die or be sick anymore, at least?
"Yes, ma'am," he said, not able to meet her eyes.

Isaac looked up at her and gave her a shy smile, still really embarrassed, but also almost embarrassingly grateful, as well.
"Thank you."

Leaning over, she pressed a kiss to her son's forehead. "Goodnight you two." She even brushed a kiss over the top of Isaac's head before wandering away to head back upstairs.
Scott was quiet for a moment but then he was trying to hold back a smile as he looked over at Isaac.

"I thought she was going to....throw me out. Or say we couldn't see each other anymore...." He still couldn't believe she hadn't.

Isaac gave him another smile and finally started to relax. "...She didn't say we couldn't sleep together, either...." As in actually sleep. She'd worried about what people would say, but not said they couldn't.
