It wasn't that Peter wanted to leave Scott behind, by any means, but he'd rushed back in there and the Alpha twins--who'd flipped sides just like he'd said they would--were right behind them and Cora had already stopped breathing once. So, he snarled at Isaac who could see the twins behind them and knew, if nothing else, he had a duty to his pack--of which Peter and Cora were a major part.
He floored it.
The epinephrine had burned off a little too fast, which had been embarrassing, but the adrenaline was still pumping--possibly the only thing keeping him upright, honestly. That and needing to take care of his pack...Cora hadn't regained consciousness, and he could only hope someone had found Derek.
Isaac didn't know where Scott was, didn't know if he'd gotten out, and he was shaking, but he got them back to the loft safely. Sure, the pack knew where it was, but they knew where all of them lived and where else were they going to go? Better somewhere they could sort of defend. They didn't have Ms. Blake, anyway, so why would they come after them?
When they got to the loft, Peter got Cora out of the car, lifting her with a pained wince, but when Isaac tried to take her, he snarled at the boy until he ran ahead, getting doors instead, letting them all into the loft and skidding to a bit of a halt at finding Lydia and Hayley sitting there.
Peter noticed the girls, but didn't process, moving across to get Cora on the table, somewhere they could work on her more easily than the sofa. After he got her there, he just leaned against it, head hanging down, breathing a little too hard.

Turning his head, he brushed a kiss against Hayley's forehead before drawing away to head for the door, nodding for Isaac to follow.
Allison had arched a brow at the mention of feeding on her and she shot Klays a dark look before glancing at her Dad. "Be safe." She murmured as Klaus pulled her out after she had grabbed the map from Peter.
Watching them all go, he looked at Chris. "Why does this feel like its such a bad idea?" He muttered.
no subject
Chris shook his head at Stiles. "Because we're going off to face down a dark druid with a group of wolves and vampires who probably have their own agenda and absolutely nothing to gain from keeping us alive?" He made a face. "But let's go get your dad and Melissa. They can fight it out with the teacher."
Peter waited until they were all gone to finally let himself settle back on the sofa, closing his eyes. "Why does Derek not have a TV? How are those of us not inclined to constant brooding supposed to entertain ourselves here?"
no subject
Lydia was quiet as Peter complained about the lack of a television, a faraway look in her eyes as she watched Stiles and Chris leave. She had the strongest urge to follow suddenly and that realization caused a shiver to run down her spine as she closed her eyes and forced herself to turn away. "You need to rest. Both of you." She looked at Cora as well.
Cora made a face but she wasn't going to argue as the vampire blood had helped but she still felt drained.
Allison led Klaus towards her car which Isaac had borrowed. "Here, you can take the map." She held it out to Klaus. "I'll drive."
Stepping outside, Derek looked over at Elijah. "Do you want to go on foot or do you want to take my car?"
no subject
Klaus arched an eyebrow at the huntress, but took the map. "Yes, let's give the person with no reference point for anything on it the map...."
Elijah tilted his head, studying Derek and Isaac. "I can get there faster on foot, but we need the others before we go in, so it doesn't really matter. If we get there first, I suppose we can do some scouting, though..."
no subject
Allison tried not to get exasperated as she turned to face Klaus. "What? Do you want to drive?"
Derek thought about it, glancing at Isaac before his eyes went red. "Let's run then."
no subject
Chris really hoped so, as well, and he reached out to squeeze the boy's shoulder before getting in the car. Working with the pack might not be his favorite thing ever, but Melissa and the sheriff were innocent, good people. Saving them was something he could get on board with, fully.
"I think that might be best," Klaus said, holding out the map back to her.
Isaac nodded, because running and not thinking sounded like a good idea right now.
Elijah waved a hand. "Lead the way. I'll be right behind you." He didn't know where they were going, after all, and that would also let him adjust his pace to theirs.
no subject
Allison was passing over the keys when the three went flying by and she turned slightly to watch them speed by and then she was looking at Klaus. "I can't run that fast." She informed him.
no subject
Isaac ran after Derek, doing his best to keep up with his Alpha and not think too much about Scott. This first, then they could tell Scott there was no reason to stay with Deucalion. That his mom was safe.
Elijah smiled a little and ran after them, kind of really hoping the Darach fought back, just so he might get to kill her. Though, probably, if so, he'd let Klaus do the honors. Maybe that would help him.
Klaus looked after his brother, then gave her a grin. "Which is why we have the car..."
no subject
Allison nodded as she turned back to Klaus, completely serious. "True. There goes my idea of putting you in the backseat though." And she remained serious for about two seconds before an actual smile twitched at the corners of her mouth and her eyes sparkled with almost impish amusement as she ducked down to get into the passenger side of her car.
no subject
Amusement looked good on her, and Klaus smiled for a moment before climbing into the driver's seat, adjusting it, then turning the car on and pulling out, following Chris. "I assume we're going to break off from them, eventually...let me know where."
no subject
Allison watched Klaus as he adjusted the seat. "Sorry, you're a lot taller than I am." And she had always figured she was pretty tall. Then she was wondering what the heck she was doing apologizing to him. Turning her attention away from him, she cleared her throat as she tried to maintain some sort of professionalism as she nodded. "I'll let you know." She confirmed.
Derek was not surprised they were first and he slowed down to a near job and then a stop in the middle of a bunch of trees, looking back at Isaac and Elijah. "We're close." He kept his voice soft, knowing they could hear.
no subject
Chris gave him a bit of a smile and shrugged. "I heard."
Klaus wondered why she was apologizing for something like that, at least, but he just nodded, staying close to Chris ahead of them, mentally gearing up for the fight--trying to remember if there was anything Druids were likely to be able to do that witches couldn't. Killer migraines, sucked, but very few witches he'd ever met had been able to take out more than one vampire at a time--and never for long. It also took all their concentration, so someone else could take them out.
Isaac was on edge, looking around and trying to scent the air for something familiar. Elijah nodded at Derek, and felt a shiver run down his spine. Magic in the air.
no subject
Allison was doing much the same as she geared up mentally for the fight as well, shifting in her seat, turning towards him more, before suddenly pointing. "Turn over there and find a place to park. We'll have to go the rest of the way on foot." Then she was shifting further, unbuckling herself as she moved to her knees and suddenly dropped the seat back. Reaching behind him, she hauled a long case up onto the back seat and opened it again to draw out her bow.
Derek could feel it too, tilting his head. "Let's look around and see if we can pick up anything. And the best way to go in."
no subject
Chris would have been amused under other circumstances, but things were too serious right now. "If you ever want to learn..." He shrugged. He'd be willing to teach him, though he didn't see Stiles becoming a hunter, obviously. But if he was going to keep running with wolves, he should know how to protect himself.
Klaus did as he was instructed, cutting the lights out. He glanced at her bow appraisingly, before nodding. "Nice piece."
Elijah nodded, gaze flickering around trying to sense where the power lines lay, but that was a sense Esther had cut off when she turned him. Somehow, old instincts, human ones, died hard, it seemed. "Meet back here in five minutes."

Peter opened his eyes at a blip in her heart rate, too tuned in to her to miss much. He gave her a searching look, but nodded. "So do you. You and Cora were both injured and ill."
He was coming down from a high. And trying to heal cracked ribs that didn't seem to want to mend, but whatever. They would by morning. Sooner if he did something drastic like properly break something to kick start the healing a little faster, but he saw no reason to do that just yet.
no subject
"I can walk." Cora muttered irritably but she did look at Hayley, waiting as she slid her feet to the floor.
Lydia ignored the muttering as she turned to look at Peter. "I've made up the guest bed." She held out her hand to him. "Come on, you can tell me this plan you had." See? She didn't forget.
no subject
Hayley looked vaguely amused at Lydia taking control, but there wasn't any reason to not do as she asked, so she just shrugged and gave Cora a smile. "Good, because I'm not carrying you and I'm pretty sure Peter can't anymore..."
"Hey!"
She glanced at him, head tilted. "You're heartbeat is thready and weak and far too fast and you're breathing shallowly and with clear pain. I know you're strong, but you're hurt, too."
She moved to Cora, holding out her hand. "I'll just stay close in case you need help with the stairs, ok?"
Peter still looked affronted, but he struggled to his feet with a wince, and took Lydia's hand. He gave her a look at the mention of the plan, but sighed. "Fine."
no subject
Leading Peter to the room, she fretted quietly about what Hayley had said about his pulse and such, and she was whiter than before as she turned to look at him. "What happened?"
Cora was quiet as Hayley moved behind her while she climbed the stairs. "So, Klaus? That's the father?"
no subject
Peter waved a hand, trying to dismiss her concern, but answered. "It's really not anything to worry about. Scott and I had to take on the twins while the others tried to get the darach and Cora out to safety. They'd already tossed me through a sort or two, and I needed an advantage. There was an impressive shot of epinephrine in the OR. It seemed a good idea at the time, but now...coming down is a little less fun."
Yes. He'd gotten high on adrenaline. He'd had to so something?
"It's possible I cracked a rib or four, in the midst of being thrown down hallways." He looked up at her.
Hayley sighed and gave a shrug. "That's him. He's not normally...no. I can't even lie. He's often an ass, but rarely so...pointedly." As in, over her.
no subject
"Are they healing?" She asked with a frown then.
Cora paused. studying Hayley for a moment as she stated that Klaus was not nearly such an asshole and it looked like she was contemplating saying something before she decided against it by turning to walk to her room.
"At least his brother seems...easier to be around." She replied casually.
no subject
He shrugged slightly. "They will. Cracks actually take longer than full breaks--not traumatic enough to trigger the full healing process." He tugged lightly. "You're the one with a concussion." Though she seemed to be thinking and moving more clearly and easily, at least, so hopefully that was resolving itself.
Hayley followed her to the doorway of her room, leaning in the door. "Elijah? Yeah, Elijah's great. Easily the best of the family."
no subject
Cora nodded her head as she moved into her room and over to her bed. Then she sat down with a sigh, hating that she had to wait behind while everyone went off to face the dark druid bitch.
no subject
Hayley worried at her lower lip, watching Cora, trying not to worry about Derek and the others out there fighting. "You need anything?"
no subject
"No, I feel....fine." Truthfully she wasn't sure how she felt since she felt okay but it was strange to think she had vampire blood in her system. Brushing some hair back from her face, she looked up at Hayley again. "How are you dealing?"
no subject
He hated showing that much weakness, but...he really didn't think he could manage.
Hayley shrugged a bit again. "I'm ok. Worried about Derek, and I hope they get everyone back safe, but...I've never met them, you know? I want them to be safe because they're people who have people who love them, and those people matter to you guys, and you guys...matter to me." Her smile is wry. "So, I'm probably more ok than most, being removed from it a bit." She shook her head. "Elijah and Klaus will be fine."
